NEWS RELEASES2012 May 2012: RJM begins renovations at Mercy Health Care Center in Coon Rapids February 2012: RJM Construction adds six new employees to Denver office January 2012: RJM Construction to renovate McCaddon Cadillac Buick GMC in Boulder ______ RJM BEGINS RENOVATIONS AT MERCY HEALTH CARE CENTER IN COON RAPIDS MINNEAPOLIS (May 2012) — RJM Construction, a St. Louis Park, Minn.-based construction firm, recently began renovations at Mercy Health Care Center, a 100,000-sq.-ft. medical office building on Allina's Mercy Hospital Campus in Coon Rapids, Minn. The medical building houses ten medical groups that specialize in such varied services as women's health, kidney dialysis and oncology. The renovations are expected to be complete in October 2012. Mercy Health Care Center, located at 3960 Coon Rapids Boulevard, is owned by Mercy Medical Office, LLC. The renovation will provide an enhanced and updated clinic experience for patients and physicians. The building exterior will be completely refurbished with new metal panels, upgraded lighting, new monument signage, sidewalks and landscaping. The public corridors, west entry, elevator lobbies and restrooms will be renovated. A south building entry will be added, featuring an expanded waiting lounge and patient drop-off area. Building system improvements include HVAC system upgrades, modernized elevator mechanicals and energy efficient lighting fixtures. In addition to RJM Construction and Mercy Medical Office, LLC, the project team includes architect Edward Farr Architects, Inc., designer bdh + young and property manager Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq. Prior to being awarded the contract in December 2011, RJM provided preconstruction services including construction feasibility, scheduling, budgeting and value engineering. Leased by Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, the building's anchor tenants include Allina, DaVita and Physician Reliance. RJM ADDS SIX NEW EMPLOYEES TO DENVER OFFICE DENVER (February 2012) —RJM Construction, a Minnesota-based construction firm with offices here, has hired six new employees for its Denver office. With this addition, RJM nearly doubles the size of its Denver staff. "Our Denver operations have grown steadily since we first opened in 2010," said Bob Jossart, president of RJM Construction. "We are gaining a fantastic group of construction professionals and I'm confident their addition will help expand our reach and service to our clients in the Denver area." Among the new employees is Gary Meggison, who serves as senior vice president at RJM and oversees the entire Denver team. He directs all work in Colorado, providing pre-construction and construction services from concept to completion. Meggison also is responsible for the development of the RJM team and new business pursuits. Most recently, Meggison served as senior vice president at a local general contractor firm; he has 32 years of experience in the Colorado construction industry. Meggison received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Colorado - Denver. Kyle Erickson serves as vice president; he is responsible for value engineering, constructability studies, establishment of budgets, bidding and contract strategy. Erickson was a senior preconstruction manager at a local general contractor; he has 20 years of construction experience. He received his bachelor's degree from Colorado State University and master's degree from Texas A&M University. Jeff Johnson comes to RJM as an estimator; he develops project budgets and value engineering options, and reviews constructability studies throughout project. Johnson is a recent graduate of Colorado State University. Chris LoSordo and Tommy Cheshire join the RJM team as superintendents, responsible for coordinating on-site construction, subcontractors, materials deliveries and site labor force. They collectively bring 52 years of experience in construction to RJM. Denise Icks takes on the role of RJM's new office manager in Denver, where she oversees project assistants and general office management. Icks previously served as office administrator at a local general contractor. Signature projects completed by RJM in the last 12 months include Versa Power Systems in Littleton and McCaddon Cadillac Buick GMC in Boulder. The company plans to increase its work with healthcare groups, property owners and building tenants in 2012.
PHOENIX (January 2012) —RJM Construction will begin renovations next week on the showroom building for McCaddon Cadillac Buick GMC in Boulder, Colo. Scheduled for completion in June 2012, the 7,000 sq. ft. of renovations will include a new grand entry and a new first floor with showroom, sales offices, service advisor area, customer waiting and restrooms. The 27,000-sq.-ft. building at 2460 48th Court in Boulder was built in 1987. The renovations are part of the new GM Facility Image Program, a nationwide effort to update GM dealership facilities. The reconstructed building will house the client service areas and accommodate the McCaddon staff of nearly 60 employees. Upon being awarded the contract in the spring of 2011, RJM provided preconstruction services including reconstruction feasibility, scheduling, budgeting and value engineering. In addition to RJM, the project team includes McCaddon Cadillac Buick GMC owner Mark McCaddon; architect The Mulhern Group, Ltd.; and designer Gensler. "The renovations will bring our facility in line with more modern conveniences, a more comfortable environment for our clientele, and a more dynamic and efficient workplace for our staff," said McCaddon. "We appreciate how RJM worked with us to zero in on the specific needs of our organization as well as enhance the overall image that our manufacturer is requesting."
