MINNEAPOLIS (October 15, 2018) — RJM Construction, a Minnesota-based general contractor, has been selected by Global Academy to renovate a former ecumenical seminary into an expanded facility for the award winning charter school.
Global Academy currently serves over 400 students in Columbia Heights. The new facility in New Brighton will allow Global Academy to expand its programming while keeping classroom sizes small.
Located at 3000 5th St. NW, the project will preserve the Bigelow Chapel while converting existing space into classroom and recreational space to keep up to date with the latest in technology and security.
RJM Construction will begin interior renovations in January, with work to be complete in June of 2019. The gymnasium addition is scheduled for completion in August of 2019.
In addition to RJM, the project team includes Rivera Architects and owners representative, TenSquare.
