RJM Construction is thrilled to be recognized alongside seventy-five organizations in Hennepin County that will receive the 2019 Wellness by Design Award for excellence in worksite wellness on November 7th. The award recognizes organizations that make employee health a priority through creative and effective wellness initiatives. The award honors employers that demonstrate accomplishments in management support, wellness infrastructure, communication, and programming directed toward improving employee health.
Worksite wellness programs are of value to both the employee and employer. They can improve employee performance, increase engagement, lower healthcare costs, and build community. Effective programs create a culture of health that affects all employees.
Our Wellness Journey at RJM Construction
Our worksite wellness journey started in 2018 and is led by our Employee Engagement + Wellness Committee. The purpose of this committee is to promote employee engagement and build the wellbeing of our team members. We believe when we support the mental, physical, financial, and social wellbeing of our employees we create highly engaged employees that are happier, healthier and more effective at their jobs and serving clients. The creation of this committee evolved from an employee survey, and to support RJM’s strategic plan of being “a great place to work.”
