MINNEAPOLIS (January 19, 2016) — RJM Construction, a Minneapolis-based general contractor, has been selected by MSP Commercial to build their new 90,000 sq.-ft. medical center in Eagan. RJM Construction has also been selected by Summit Orthopedics for the interior construction of the clinic and surgery center.
The three-story building with underground parking will be constructed on the Eagan Woods site, located near Interstate 494 and Pilot Knob Road. Working closely with developer MSP Commercial, RJM is currently assisting the project team through design and development plans. The team plans to break ground this spring.
When complete, exterior features will include brick, metal panels, glass curtain wall, and an elegant patient entrance with canopy. The building interior will offer warm, welcoming finishes and a comfortable, hotel-like ambiance.
S2 Enterprises is serving as Summit Orthopedics’ project representative. “This project will be closely modeled after Summit’s award-winning Vadnais Heights location,” stated Amy Staudinger, S2 Enterprises. “The same core team was engaged to design and build this project to provide Summit with a lean process, minimizing time and cost and maximizing value”.
Scheduled to open in early 2017, the center will offer a full range of orthopedic treatment services, as well as operating rooms and “care suites” for patients requiring overnight stays. The care suites will offer Wi-Fi capability, lounge seating and concierge services.
In addition to RJM, MSP Commercial and S2 Enterprises, the project team includes Genesis Architecture and Pope Architects.
