RJM Construction was selected by Beacon Academy, a K-8 charter school, to remodel a vacant parochial school.
Several months of preconstruction services led up to the final site selection. As part of the project, RJM built a 16,000 square-foot addition to accommodate the growing charter school’s needs. The team addressed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing challenges early in the project and paid close attention to blending old with new to create a cohesive, functional space.
Along with the remodel and addition, crews installed new roofing on two of the three-building wings and performed site improvements. The facility holds 40 classrooms, a media center, gymnasium space, and a performing arts center.
