Golden Valley, Minn., August 28, 2020 ─ General contractors RJM Construction and Tri-Construction will join forces to complete the workforce housing apartments containing 54 units, situated on a 1.7-acre site vacant since 2014. Located on the city’s border with St. Paul, the $8,750,000 complex will be made up of affordable efficiency and one-bedroom apartments.
The Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) awarded the construction contract to RJM and Tri-Construction based on bid amount, prior experience, and positive references. RJM Construction’s multifamily market team brings a depth of experience to this project, having recently completed Sable Lofts and Legacy Lofts in downtown Minneapolis. Tri-Construction’s project portfolio includes a variety of work, including Prior Crossing apartments in St. Paul and 66 West, an apartment complex for homeless young adults in Edina. Together they will provide fast-track execution without sacrificing quality or design.
This project begins in August 2020, with a scheduled completion date of August of 2021. The architect is LHB.
