MINNEAPOLIS (Oct. 31, 2013) — RJM Construction, a Minneapolis-based general contractor, has been selected to construct the Plymouth City Center Medical Building, a new medical office building located at 37th Avenue and Vicksburg Lane in Plymouth, Minn. Construction of the 50,000-sq.-ft. building will begin in November and be complete by September 2014.
The primary care practice North Clinic will occupy 15,000 sq. ft. of the multi-tenant medical building. Other tenants include North Memorial Health Care and the Institute for Athletic Medicine. RJM Construction will build the core and shell of the Plymouth City Center Medical Building, including a brick and stone façade.
“We are excited to continue serving our patients in the Plymouth area as the anchor tenant of this development,” explains Joanne Stadnik, executive director, North Clinic.
This project, which is a partnership with BTO Development and North Memorial, is the third project RJM Construction has worked on with real estate developer BTO Development on behalf of its clients; RJM Construction most recently added space to Twin Cities Orthopedics’ building in Burnsville and prior to that constructed Twin Cities Orthopedics’ Edina location. BTO Development served as the development consultant on both projects.
“We’re pleased to be working with RJM Construction to build Plymouth City Center Medical building from the ground up,” said Allen Hill, vice president, BTO Development.
The building leasing team includes Louis Suarez and Brian Bruggeman of Colliers Healthcare Services Group. In addition, project partners include BWBR Architects, BKBM Engineers, Yale Mechanical, GR Mechanical and Premier Electric.
