MINNEAPOLIS (January 25, 2018) — RJM Construction, a Minnesota-based general contractor, has been selected by Spectrum High School to expand its campus by converting an existing office/warehouse building into their new middle school facility for grades 7 and 8.
Located in Elk River, the public charter school has experienced significant growth (currently 680 students), resulting in multiple expansion opportunities. The new 36,000-sq. ft. facility will consist of classrooms, administration area, a cafeteria, and a gymnasium addition. It is conveniently located between the 6th grade and high school buildings.
Spectrum High School serves grades 6-12 striving for “academic and personal excellence through programs emphasizing high academic standards in a small-school setting.” It is accredited by AdvancEd, an international educational accreditation agency.
The project is scheduled to begin in March 2018 and be completed in August. In addition to RJM, the project team includes Rivera Architects.
