Contact RJM

Here in the State of Hockey, it’s no surprise that many RJM team members are hockey players, coaches, and fans! From coaching youth to playing in adult leagues to watching our kids excel in the game, there are plenty of stories around here to share. One of the most rewarding activities we’re involved in is DinoMights’ Greg Carroll Learn 2 Skate program for underserved first-graders from Minneapolis and St. Paul. This program gives kids who otherwise would not get the chance to discover the fun of skating and hockey through the helping hands of volunteers. Last Tuesday, April 26, RJM’s Service Manager David Mellang led a group to the Richfield Ice Arena to spend the morning encouraging the kids to feel at home on ice with skates, some of them for the very first time.

DinoMights uses hockey as an incentive to provide activities such as academic tutoring, computer instruction, community service and more to develop “physical, academic, social, and spiritual excellence.”

Since 2017 RJM Construction has provided volunteering and financial support to DinoMights, and we are proud to be among its sponsors. Among the organization’s other supporters is Hockey is for Everyone, whose mission is to “support unique programming to non-profit youth hockey organizations across North America that are committed to offering children of all backgrounds opportunities to play hockey.”

“It’s always fun to get out on the ice with the kids. It’s especially rewarding to see their faces light up when in just a short amount of time they make progress!” said Mellang.

Thanks to all the other staff who participated! Stacy Arnold, Josh Arbogast, Jack Benson, Riley Gardner, Hunter Koesters, Alex Malm, Chris Cohoe, and Blake Manning.
