Carver County collaborated with RJM Construction and HGA Architects to construct a public-use regional park on Lake Waconia. Committed to eco-friendly practices and meeting B3 sustainability requirements, the facility integrates a geothermal heat exchanger system and PV systems for enhanced energy efficiency, aligning with stringent sustainability benchmarks.
Beyond the building itself, the project encompasses crucial site enhancements. Adding exterior rain gardens serves a dual purpose, enhancing the aesthetic appeal while contributing to eco-friendly stormwater management. Outdoor patios and seating areas enhance the usability of the space, creating a welcoming environment for the community. Simultaneously, groundwork has been laid for a new Lake Waconia dock system, addressing practical needs and improving waterfront accessibility.
