RJM completed complex renovations to the Ramsey County Metro Square Building in downtown St. Paul.
The renovations included upgrades to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, with new finishes in public spaces, and elevator improvements. The project also included structural work to address water infiltration issues. The original foundation, dating back to 1911, extended into sidewalk area. Under guidance by Dunham Engineers, RJM built a new foundation wall and then filled the void between the old and new to enhance the structural integrity of the foundation. Renovations also included a new 2,000 square-foot data center, complete with a backup generator and server upgrade for County officials. The project was completed in five strategically planned phases. In addition to the phased turnover to the County, RJM completed an electrical service and structural upgrade consecutively.
