Montevideo Public Works

RJM partnered with the City of Montevideo to build a new 23,000-SF public works building. This new facility enables the city to bring operations from five previous buildings under one roof.

The new public works facility contains a maintenance shop with vehicle storage, in-ground lifts, wash bay, and a locker room. Within the same building, the team built several offices, miscellaneous storage, and a meeting room. Throughout the building they included in-floor heating.

Despite the severe winter weather with extreme wind, the team finished on budget and schedule. The project was originally under budget which allowed the Montevideo team to add early eliminated items back into the scope.

This new facility is an investment for the departments by providing an updated larger space where they can gather as one.
