Animal Emergency and Referral Center project team participates in safety stand-down during Construction Safety Week

May 6, 2022

For the ninth year in a row, Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA), along with federal OSHA and others, asked employers and workers to participate in a safety stand-down. A safety stand-down is when a job site pauses their workday to bring awareness to different safety topics.

On May 4th, the entire project team on the Animal Emergency and Referral Center participated in the National Safety Stand-down to Prevent Falls in Construction.

During the stand-down, MNOSHA covered safety topics related to ladders, scaffolding and roofing work to raise awareness about preventing falls, which account for the highest number of deaths in the construction industry.

Check out Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry’s website for more resources about safety stand-downs and fall prevention.
