DinoMights’ big day comes on January 1st as they will play on an auxiliary rink at Target Field during the NHL outdoor Winter Classic game between the Minnesota Wild and the St. Louis Blues. Much more than a sports program, DinoMights “. . . is in service of whole life youth development.” Over the years RJM has partnered with DinoMights in various ways, and we are excited for the kids for their big day skating alongside the pros!
RJM’s engagement with DinoMights includes supporting their annual fundraisers and RJM staff volunteer efforts working directly with the kids. The Gregg Carroll Learn 2 Skate program held at several locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul throughout the spring provides first graders the opportunity to get out on the ice with one-on-one coaching, with skates and equipment provided. We also volunteer as tutors in support of their annual academic initiatives. Additionally, as ice rink and facility experts, the RJM community team provided assistance with the planning and procurement of DinoMight’s new outdoor rink, coming in the fall of 2022.
