February is American Heart Health Month; RJM acknowledges the importance of awareness and lifestyle changes to prevent this silent threat. Everyone – especially women – is encouraged to focus on cardiovascular health throughout February. We are working together and supporting different organizations to change these statistics, ensuring everyone leads longer and healthier lives.
The Go Red for Women movement, initiated by the American Heart Association, empowers women to prioritize heart health. As we recognize that cardiovascular disease claims the lives of one in three women each year, it’s equally important to acknowledge the challenges faced by the construction community, with 1 in 25 workers diagnosed with cardiovascular disease.
This Valentine’s Day, let’s raise awareness and support all women in our lives and the construction industry to build a future where heart health prevails.
